Design Tips

Are you ready to get started?!   Its an exciting thing, building your home on the web, and we want you to have the best possible experience and a site you can be proud of.  To achieve this result there are some things that you can take into consideration when visualizing your completed site.

* When you provide photos, the truth is that bigger is better.  Pictures that are 300 dpi will translate better on to your site than something that has to be stretched and resized to fit.

* Glittery blinking animations and text while cute, are not professional and detract from your message.  While we will add them if you insist, they are not recommended on a business website.

* Think about what you want to say.  We can design your site, but your message needs to come through loud and clear.

* While you can host your professional website on a “free host” such as angelfire or geocities, why would you?  Do you want to promote the image that your business isn’t important enough to hold its own domain?  Remember.  Free means wading through someone elses advertising to get to your message.

* Font size is important.  While you want your site readable by all ages, you dont need to resort to either tiny or huge fonts to achieve your goal – a good designer will know the difference

* The background of your site should not detract from the content of your site.  In otherwords, leave the dizzy animated, cartoon animal, sparkly things to the tween crowd.  That is where it belongs.  A subtle background will enhance your site, not to mention your business.
